Oláh Vilmos

Vilmos Oláh, Hungarian classical violinist.

Oláh has performed as a soloist on five continents. In addition to his appearances at numerous festivals and in many of the world's music capitals, he has also served as an ambassador of Hungarian culture in countries less frequently visited by classical musicians, such as Cuba, Vietnam, Qatar, Thailand, Lebanon, China and Taiwan.

In 2005, he joined the Liszt Award-winning Auer String Quartet, with whom he recorded all ten of László Lajtha's quartets as well as the composer's chamber music for piano and strings.

Since 2010-2023 he has led both the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra as first concertmaster.

  • 2019 honorary member of JASTA (Japan String Teachers Association), ADMA (Association de Musique Asie), TMEA (Thailand Music Educators Association).
  • 2021 Estabilished as a curator the “Master violin for the Ring Foundation ” with Maestro, Adam Fischer, Maestro Tamas Vasary, Maestro  Jose Cura  to support young talented musicians.
  • 2021 Became the Honorary Advisor of JASTA Okinawa Branch
