Bodor János

 

He was born in Budapest in 1976. He began playing the violin at the age of six, inspired by his uncle, Lajos Csámpai. At the Bence Szabolcsi Music School, his teacher was József Huszti. At age 13, he was accepted into the Preparatory Department of the Liszt Academy of Music, where he studied at the direction of Mária Zs. Szabó. Graduated from the Liszt Academy as a student of Miklós Szenthelyi, in 1999. He has participated in numerous international masterclasses and is a prize winner of several national and international violin competitions. He is a member and acting concertmaster of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the concertmaster of the Danubia Orchestra. He is a founding member of the Grazioso Chamber Orchestra.
