Ludmány Dényes

Studied at the Franz Liszt Musicacademy with Sándor Nagy in Budapest and graduated at the Mozarteum, Salzburg with Thomas Riebl and Veronika Hagen. Dénes Ludmány had a scholarship from the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and played regularly with the Camerata Salzburg with such names as Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel, Roger Norrington, Leonidas Kavakos or Emmanuel Ax. He joined the Spanish Cuarteto Quiroga in 2007 for four years. After returning to Hungary, 2012 Ludmány became principal violist of the Budapest Opera House, then member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Hungary. Since 2018 he is violist of the Szigeti Quartet to practice the highest and most complex form of chamber music performing home and abroad. His musical way was highly influenced by Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartett), Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartett), András Keller and Gábor Takács-Nagy. He is viola professor of the Debrecen University and chamber music teacher of the Franz Liszt Musicacademy in Budapest.
