
Ádám Maros has been the principal timpanist of the Hungarian State Opera since 2014.
Since 2021, he has been a teacher of the timpani and percussion department at the "Szent István király" Secondary School of Music, where he studied earlier. He received his BA degree from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and his MA degree from the University of Debrecen Faculty of Music.
Between 2010-11, he was a member of the European Youth Orchestra. He is the winner of numerous national and international competitions. In addition to his full-time job, he is a guest artist of several Hungarian orchestras, such as the Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Concerto Budapest.
In addition to the operatic and symphonic orchestral playing, he is a dedicated performer of the early music repertoire. He often performs with early music ensembles, such as Orfeo and Haydneum in Hungary, and { oh! } Orkiestra Histroyczna, Collegium 1704, and the early music ensembles of the Accademia Bizantina, abroad.
Besides chamber music, is important to him the education of the future generation, furthermore development of character and personality by art and music.
