Besides a number of individual mastercourses the talented young musicians can take part in an orchestral mastercourse with the leadership of Tamás Vásáry pianist and conductor, honorary citizen of Debrecen, awarded Kossuth Prize and Zoltán Bolyky and Andrea Daru assistant conductor. Following the rehearsal period, which will start on 7th July, the orchestra will perform public concerts, which will be video recorded and photographed, and the concert in Debrecen will be streamed by the University of Debrecen.

The list of orchestra members will be posted on our website and Facebook page until 15th June, 2024.

We are looking forward to applications for the following instruments:
violin, viola, cello, double-bass, flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, saxophone,bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, harp, dulcimer, celesta, piano
Sending demos is not required, but it can be an advantage.

  • 17th of July 2024 – Pesti Vigadó – Ceremonial Hall, Budapest, Hungary
  • 18th of July 2024 – Great Reformed Church of Debrecen
  • 19th of July 2024 – Concert Hall of the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic, Satu Mare (Romania)

Age limit: 16 and above.
We look forward to applications of high school students, university and college students and young music teachers.
Deadline for entries: 31st May, 2024.
Notification of acceptance of applications: 15th June, 2024.
