Besides a number of individual mastercourses the talented young musicians can take part in an orchestral mastercourse with the leadership of Tamás Vásáry pianist and conductor, honorary citizen of Debrecen, awarded Kossuth Prize and Zoltán Bolyky and Andrea Daru assistant conductor. Following the rehearsal period the orchestra will perform public concerts. The first concert of the Kodály Zoltán World Youth Orchestra is the closing event of the Young Musicians' Summer Academy, which will be streamed, video recorded and photographed by the University of Debrecen. Rehearsals will start on 12th July, where the program of the concerts will be studied, rehearsed and first performed on 22rd July as the closing concert of the Young Musicians Summer Academy.

The list of orchestra members will be posted on our website and Facebook page until 15th June, 2023.

We are looking forward to applications for the following instruments:
violin, viola, cello, double-bass, flute/piccolo, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion
Sending demos is not required, but it can be an advantage.

  • 24th of July 2023 - Liszt Academy - Grand Hall, Budapest, Hungary
